Candles
These handcrafted artisan candles are made by Subiaco Abbey’s own Br. Sebastian, OSB, who entered the monastery on October 2, 2020.
"While I was working as the assistant to the brewmaster in the brewery, I took an interest in helping make the scented candles, which had become a best seller in the Coury House gift shop and was also being offered on our online store. We continue to use the original formula which gives the candles a perfect aroma -a great mix of sweet and strong- but not overpowering. The candles have moved from a side hobby to one of the main artisan items that we offer here at the Abbey.”
Below you have various options for purchase. Due to the rising costs of shipping, we have to require a minimum order of two candles per order. Some may prefer instead to purchase a variety pack of three or five candles so you can experience multiple scents.
You may also contact Br. Sebastian about purchasing candles in a much larger bulk for special events. His email address is brsebastian@subi.org. Buying in bulk gives you choices such as the color of the wax, a wider variety of scents, and a custom label.
